Dr. Roetman’s passion for holistic healthcare stems from his own journey overcoming chronic upper respiratory infections during his teen years and early adulthood. By 25, the infections had worsened to the point where he was advised to have a tonsillectomy. Before opting for surgery, he consulted his mentor, Scotty Hillestad, who encouraged lifestyle changes. Inspired by Why We Sleep by Dr. Matthew Walker, Dr. Roetman optimized his sleep, modified his workouts to focus on load management, and adopted a Whole Foods-based diet. These changes eliminated his infections and improved his overall health and energy, allowing him to avoid surgery and thrive. This experience sparked his passion for understanding how nutrition and lifestyle influence human function.
His dedication deepened in high school after a serious basketball injury. Initially told that pain meds, bracing, and ending his season were his only options, he endured months of pain without progress. Then a chiropractor introduced him to hands-on treatments and progressive rehab. Within two weeks, he was back on the court, pain-free. This experience left a lasting impression, fueling his commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Dr. Roetman earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018 from Northwestern Health Sciences University and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition. He is dedicated to helping others achieve better health through personalized guidance in nutrition, sleep, exercise, and lab testing. His mission is to empower patients to use these tools as a first line of defense against illness and injury—offering sustainable, effective alternatives to drugs and surgery.
